Manchester City will travel to Old Trafford at the weekend with the hope of getting a decent result against the rivals.

The Citizens come into the clash a point adrift of neighbours Manchester United. However, they have not conceded a goal in 5 matches across all competitions.

The Red Devils meanwhile, have won their last four Premier League games but were knocked out of the Champions League in midweek no thanks to RB Leipzig who inflicted that assault on the Red Devils.

Here, DAILY POST evaluates how the Citizens could line-up against Manchester United.

Absent; None

Possible; Ikay Gundogan (ankle), Eric Garcia (knock)

Guardiola has already stated that Sergio Aguero will start from the bench against the United side since he’s just returning from his recent injury during a goal-scoring came off the bench in midweek.

Gabriel Jesus will lead the attack for City, while Bernardo Silva and Ferran Torres could be alternatives through the middle in case Pep Guardiola choosesl to spring surprises.

Aguero returned on Wednesday, both Eric Garcia and Germany Ikay Gundogan coped up a slight knock that caused them to lump off from the game.

They will be diagnosed ahead of this match. Gundogan’s withdrawal was known to be only on cautionary measures and he could be fit to start at the weekend, though Guardiola is unlikely to take any risk over his fitness owing to the hectic schedule in their list.

The Eastland’s had the luxury of making a couple of changes in midweek, meaning that Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri, Ruben Dias, Ederson, Benjamin Mendy and John Stones could make a return to the starting line-up for City.

Raheem Sterling could be recalled, although he hasn’t scored against Manchester United in his 16 Premier League outings. He has also struggled to get over Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the recent Manchester Derby matches.

Here is a possible line up for Man City; Ederson; Kyle Walker, John Stones, Ruben Dias, Mendy Benjamin; Fernandinho, Rodri; Riyad Mahrez, Kevin De Bruyne, Raheem Sterling; Gabriel Jesus.
