Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo’s son sounds just like his dad in wild Jets rant

It runs in the family.

After the Jets’ horrific last-second loss to the Raiders and the team’s subsequent firing of defensive coordinator Gregg Williams, Chris “Mad Dog” Russo’s son called into his father’s Sirius XM radio program, and he sounded just like his old man.

Showing a Russo family propensity for yelling, 18-year-old Colin ranted loudly about the Jets collapse, but for not the reason you might think.

“They had three guys in coverage. What? This is ridiculous! I was watching it and he was wide open, and Gregg Williams is sitting there like he made a good call. Give me a break!

“It was one of those things when you just go quiet, and you just start to think about, ‘Why am I doing this? Why am I doing this to myself?… I watch the Jaguars essentially be bad at winning, and bad at losing too! They never got the top pick in the draft. They always hover around five through seven, because they love winning the meaningless games.”

The apparent Jags fan was a spitting image (sound) of his dad, and fans came away impressed with his radio chops.

“He was fantastic. WFAN should sign him right now for 2-7,” one said.

“Sounds just like his pop. He should get his own show,” another claimed.

The Jaguars, at 1-11, are still in the hunt for the No. 1 overall pick — widely expected to be Trevor Lawrence — but the younger Russo was still dismayed at the Jets missing their best chance yet to win.

“They’ve had chances to win, they just wanna lose… It’s such a Gregg Williams way to go out, sending eight guys at Derek Carr, Derek Carr of all people.”
