‘Cheer’ star Jerry Harris faces new sexual misconduct charges
Prosecutors on Friday filed new charges against “Cheer” star Jerry Harris, alleging that he enticed minors into sending him explicit photos — and had sex with his victims at cheerleading competitions.
The additional seven charges stem from four new victims who accuse Harris, 21, a fixture in Netflix’s docuseries “Cheer,” of sexually exploiting them for his pleasure, USA Today reported.
In September, the FBI raided Harris’ home in Naperville and arrested him on federal child porn charges. His arrest came after two brothers sued him for sexual harassment that occurred for over a year when they were 13 and Harris was 19.
Court documents say Harris traveled to Florida for the sole purpose of engaging in sexual acts with an underage boy.
Harris remains in federal custody awaiting trial.
